The Food and Drug Administration, FDA, announced today that it authorized the first e-cigarette company. R.J. Reynolds Vapor Company who makes Vuse Solo is the first to get accepted but only for the tobacco flavor e-liquid pods.
The FDA says its decisions are based on whether the benefits of e-cigarette products to adult smokers who may use to quit smoking along with the criteria that it cannot risk getting kids and teenagers hooked on the nicotine for the first time.
According to FDA, the tobacco-flavored Vuse pods is the first that meets their guideline. Other major brands are still waiting for FDA to respond, especially Juul – a market leader for nicotine pods.
